Bought my first terrano this week. It's a 2004 3Ltr di auto with 120k from 1 previous owner.
Drove it almost 300 miles home to Norwich, almost flat out in the early hours, and it didn't miss a beat.
Have a few jobs to do before I start using it as we're off on hols with our twin axle caravan for Easter. Heading to Yorkshire to Golden Square Holiday Park. Anyone been there?
Diesel filter, air filter, oil filter with fresh oil done so far with gearbox, transfer box and diffs left to do.
:naughty

Thanks guys. I'm definitely not gay, I think, but the steps will be staying for the time being to help the family climb in! :-/

Welcome, don't worry about the steps, they are very manly. :)
You will find a few members who don't like the 3.0 engine over the 2.7, I have had both and still prefer my 3.0.
The older 3.0 engines did have issues, but our later ones have had the mods done, I don't know what these mods were though.
The 3.0 does give better MPG, but can't run on veg oil, and it's a smoother engine.
Again, some don't like auto's over manuals, but it's the individuals choice.
You will find plenty of valuable info here too
