Bought myself a new truck, pick her up later this week :thumbs
Some bits of surface rust in the arches but nothing major, could leave them but I'm OCD so they'll be getting treated. Want to fit some roof rails too.

i guess that means you put the old one in against this and no longer need the sills welding...

Nope still got the old one. Not decided what to do with it just yet. Need to get the plates transferred over too which takes a few weeks apparently. Ns sill needs a plate. Will probably offer it on here and take it from there. As you know pretty mush all the rot spots are sorted, 4 good tyres so should be a good buy. Not sure if I should keep it and flog the little car.

Jim it looks a dandy BUT do not take it for granted it's only a bubble or two :o
I'm right in the middleof the Black Pearl renovation and I promise you there will be bits of it fizzing away right now. There are so many flippin' little holes every where for trim and plastic and who knows what :doh
So if it's a keeper, set to and treat and seal it bit at a time.
Good luck , enjoy :D

Oh yes the old wire brush and wax oil will be used in abundance. I guess it means you are all stuck with me for a few more years :doh

looks a nice truck mate :thumb2
looking good JIm, cant wait to see it!
As MakeItFit says, better give it a good going over. I suggest removing the sill kick plates, and pumping some waxoyl in that way (im sure its been mentioned on here before) and that my plan also.:thumbs

Got to be careful the drain holes don't get blocked. Think lolly sticks were mentioned weren't they.
Trouble is I'm going to be sad to finally see my old truck go when it finally does.
Very nice Jim:thumbs you must like blue T2's:lol

yup, but when you have finished spraying, you poke out the drain holes then should be ok..! besides, I think its a solution waiting to be found - im going to figure one out for mine because I don't want to go down the same route as the Maverick.
