got me exhaust on but its standard at the mo with just one box less in the middle section. still want to put a different end bit on yet but at least its not killing me with fumes now.
tried fixing me wishbone washer to find out they aren't washers but actually welded to the chassis that have worn away:eek:
I got me drop link bushes made and ready to fit

first I fitted a boost gauge. it was peaking at 10.5 bar.
then the little push rod thingy on top of the turbo with the little lockin nut was tipexed to show original position.undo locknut and wind the threaded bar clockwise two full turns.
that gave the turbo more boost, it gave me and extra 2.5 bar.
I don't know if it will kill my turbo:nenau as fook me it whistles now and I have deffo got more power.
but not enough.
what else can I do?
I thought about the intercooler being more efficient.
a fan,a mist jet.even a bigger one.
and im even thinking of scrapping the front aircon rad and fitting an intercooler there.
will that give me more power?:bow

no not here.
the bit that's got big fat rubber bushes on that is welded to the chassis.
once you remove the bar and bushes it leaves the fixing point with a cup type washer welded either side of the fixing.
this has been very worn.
probably in the 12 months of my ownership. I need to beef it up:D
by bar you mean psi? ;)
1 bar = about 14 psi :D

More fuel mate. As you ram more air in you'll eventually lean out and it won't go any faster. You find that at the mo you'll have lost top speed but gained on acceleration through the gears but still max out early.
You'll need a MAF amp or better stilla remap of the ECU. there's not a lot of options on the ecu controlled pump so you could look at modified injectors ?
I've said before though, the simple way to ooodles of more power is LPG injection :naughty

I was up at 15 psi for a while but it was no good and backed it down again to around 12 ish. Stuff some more fuel in , simples :D

I mean.
me boost went over to 10.5 on the dial and now it goes to almost 13.
and its a lot more responsive as soon as turbo kicks in.
I need more power below that though. maf amp maybe:nenau
went over to my mate steves yesterday to tackle the torsion bar re index ready for his suspension lift.
everything played ball and they where done in no time:thumb2
great to you see again mate and as always I cant thank you and your good wife enough for you hospitality.
I think I put on a stone in weight with all the food and drink we had yesterday:lol:lol

fitted the drop links yesterday.front end is tight and responsive.
I don't think its worth us getting all the bits together and selling them but I can give you all the info and links for the bits and the right sizes.
will do later after work.
