just wondered if there is any difference towing a caravan to a horsebox as i have never towed a caravan but tow a horsebox and we are thinking of getting a caravan as my back dose not like tents anymore , have a swb T2 TDi
your opinions would be good !

Hi Ian, the main difference is the distance between the tow hitch and the axles.
Depends on the size of the caravan...:nenau
Weight wise, probably not much difference if you have two decent horses in the horse box.

Caravans tend to be longer than horseboxes, so you will find that the caravan cuts in more, and you might need to allow for this when turning left.

We tow a 26 foot long boat trailer, and that really cuts in, if you are not careful it could be in the middle of a roundabout...:eek:

You won't really notice much difference, but you will need some towing mirrors, as legally, you have to see beyond the edge of the caravan, thus improving rearward vision.
