Had a nice trip down to Hemyock, nice to relax, i dont think Clive ever wants to see another terrano again after the Agro we encountered whilst doing the audio up  :lol
But yeah truck is sounding much quieter as we put loads of sound sheets in the doors and rear boot. New speakers in and sub and amp all wired up. Also got Bluetooth and USB on new head unit. Big ass fuse under bonnet for amp too :naughty
I think Clive might wanna start a thread on here about it so I'll wait and see. :thumb2
Terrano's are easy to do:augie so what kit have you fitted & wheres the pic's:lol

Alpine speakers, we didn't realise nissan made a stupid size brackets so we ended up cutting all doors for bigger speakers. Then we used lots of sound deadening pads and underseal, all of dash out, drivers seats and passenger seat out vibe slick a7 amp under drivers seat, all wiring under carpet and straight to battery, and genuine nissan facia with flick switch for hazards. 10" kicker in boot, again wiring under carpet.
Why did nissan make silly speaker sizes? :doh
Told you you would need to make up some baffles/spacers as it saves you having to cut the doors:doh your mate has done it the hard way by the sounds of it but it's in now:thumb2

Yeah I'm v happy with it, sounds real decent. Considering the sub is facing the boot behind the 3rd row of seats, the front seats still vibrate with dubstep bass :lol
Cutting was essential, otherwise you'd be limited with nissans crappy size speaker no? Or still a small speaker size, and then too big means cutting the door cards, we actually had an issue with the front windows catching the speakers, we had to pull the doors in a smidge and use double layers of sound deadening... :doh
I made up 18mm thick baffles & fitted 6.5" speakers in the front door no probs & they clear the window & door card nicely:thumbs the way you have the sub it'll be reflecting off the back door into the cabin which can often give great results:D if you have the room you could try turning the box so the sub fires across the boot as you might find you get a better sound from it

we did think about sideways but yeah, left her facing the rear, got a load of sound deadening sheets in the boot aswell, and underseal.
Only buzz comes from the top mini lights above the windscreen now :doh
Only on heavy heavy bass though :naughty
I recon, that the next post by Alex, will be how to fit a second battery, as he keeps parking up, and flattening the main battery:augie
Next project, to put heat insulation in, and convert it for camping...:doh
There seems a touch of deja vu about it, or a touch of Ryan about him, as has been said before lol...
:lol:lol:lol
Only joking there Alex, we old fogies have the great ideas, but not the energy and inclination to do these jobs anymore. :nenau:nenau
Best regards,
Rustic
Sound deadening can make a huge difference Rustic as it helps cut back some of the road noise & panel flex:D & once you replace all of Nissan's gear you soon realise how crap it is which i'm sure Alex will agree with me here:augie
TBH Ryran sadly installed his system wrong even tho I spent hours talking to his & giving him links on how it should be done correctly as he increased his stereo from a 4 ohm load which it should be down to 8-16 ohm:doh:doh
