aggresive gauges on ebay. 16 quid.
15 quid for the pod local. another 14 for the vacuum tube from local rip off bloke as the one supplied was long enough to use as a straw.
turned out a dear do.. nearly 50 quid touch.

but at least I can mess with tweekin me turbo now:thumb2

pod needs tidying before pics. as it was shop brought universal single pillar pod, that cost 15 quid and I chopped 7.50s worth off just to get it sit right.

just a little sanding and shaping left.although im not looking for cosmetics really. just practicality:D

Whats the angle like easy to read clearly & does it stick out far from the pillar ? have toyed with a double item but am also thinking of poss making my own item but to cold outside for fibreglassing & painting at the min:rolleyes: If you want a smoother shape cover the a pillar in polythene mount the gauge & smooth/fill the gaps with bodge or fibreglass, sand smooth & paint then you'll have a pro look job:thumb2

I will put a day time pic on later

The pod is tucked well out of the way and is very unobtrusive. to be honest I may change this and fit a 3 gauge pod as I need to know how my battery is coping with all the extra bits im sticking on and I think an oil pressure gauge is pretty handy.

as for fitting. if a muppet like me can do it so can anyone.

the vacuum tube supplied was as much use as a chocolate fire guard as it was about 2 feet long:nenau

the gauge itself is a simple matter of a positive, negative wire. then theres a little nipple thingy to put the tube on.

I couldn't find the wire that puts juice on when the headlights are on. so I took power from the fuse box. The top right hand fuse is live only on ignition so that's where I fixed the live and there was a convienient neg bolt under the small plastic cover by the drivers feet.

that's the power sorted.

you can see in the pic the tube just fits nicely between the door and dash along with the wiring.

the vac tube was a simple affair too as theres a very handy rubber gromit just where the heater pipes go through the bulk head

the fitting to the turbo was a little more tricky.
you will need to remove the maf and turbo intake tubing to access the little rubber tube thingy where it needs to be spliced.

it wasn't until I cut the exiting tube that I realised it was a larger diameter than the t piece supplied:doh

and it was also so short it would of been very difficult to fit the T.
so I used the same vacuum pipe I brought made it a little longer to allow fitting the T.
just for a bit of extra strength and stop kinking I wound some insulation tape around the joint.
luckily the tube I had, stretched enough to fit back on the fixings.

I was unsure if this would affect performance at all changing the dia and length of the tubing. but it all seems bob on:thumbs

I have saved some tube in me truck for emergencies:D
not very good pics sorry
