yes I know I now am the proud owner of number 8 in my arsenal, bought this one purely cos it has LPG conversion and although a 94 it has only done 50k miles, having discovered I spent over £3700 in petrol for my car alone last year, I saw this and figured if the motor is rubbish I will stick the LPG kit onto my motor if it turns out to be good then I will keep it and sell mine, savings are reckoned to be around £1k a year so having given £500 for the new motor I should be quids in, collect it tomorrow, Rick

well i have just bought my second nissan mistral which has been converted to manual 2.7td and it makes a big difference on the derv/veg consumption i only went for this one as i have had my other for 4 years no serious trouble but i do think auto clutch is starting to play up now but has 270.000k on it so other will either becombe retoration project or spares not sure yet:thumb2

So you have a normal T2 clutch and it is slipping, is that correct, in other words you have a clutch pedal, Rick

no rick my first mistral was an auto but i have now bought a second one that has been converted from auto to manual with a clutch pedal the reason i bought the second one was i priced a clutch up from gparts online they supply genuine nissan pasrt at discounted prices but even there price scared me so i bought this one that has already been converted as it will be cheaper to replace when its needed and they are both identical trucks color and interior etc. looking to restore auto one if i can find somewhere to store it

Just got back home, bad hold-up on the M1 near Luton pulled off soon as I could and got on the A5, satnav/tablet my mate had said tail back for miles lost a lot of time, still home safe with new motor, not had time to look it over properly yet, job for tomorrow, sorry later today, bed now after a hot soak and a glass or two of Minervois 2012, nice, and just a note my tow motor went very well considering the engine is nearly completely worn out, it has loud big end rattle till the oil the oil gets there and performance is well down but the old girl just keeps going, 430 miles over 13 hours, Rick

Sounds like you enjoyed the loan ranger trip :thumb2

Do we get some pictures today?

Not had a lot of time today, plenty other jobs to do, but had a gander at the new T2, it looks to me like it has seen plenty of water as the tin worm has taken its toll, but most of the normal rust points have already been recently attended to, rear seat belt anchor points, rear seat floor pan, it has other jobs need doing, sun roof jammed open and does not work, (got it manually closed today) rear window's do not work, exhaust box needed, dent in front wing (not bothered about that) front of bonnet rusted, (just thrown a dented one away:doh) engine rattles till the oil gets there, common problem easy fix, LPG kit up together but could not test it as empty, I am thinking that I may keep this one and sell mine although it is a 94, I do not see it being worth while swapping the LPG stuff and probably end up with a scrapper as it has no third row seats and the damage left after removing the tank and pipes etc would make it less than desirable, I only need to do the odd jobs tax and insure it and it is on the road, then I can sell mine cheap and quids in, although my engine is bad I have a re-con one ready to go in, anyway this is the motor, Rick

Looks quite clean Rick.
I was down your way today, we went to Eastbourne, to pickup some wheels for our new Fiesta and had a nice walk along the front.
The sea was a bit choppy, but we liked it and said we will have to return for a small break.

yes it is, there are the inevitable bits but nothing serious, just want's a good clean up underside and loads waxoil spraying about to slow the advances a bit, Rick

Who said waxoyl...:lol:lol
I have never heard of the front edge of the bonnet going, but I guess this is a 94, so 20 years old.
