View Full Version : Nissan having a laugh
Well as some might know my T2 isn't well at the min, so thought i'd give Nissan a ring to price up a new Bosch MAF as the last one I got was £45inc vat 4 years ago. The guy puts me on hold & comes back with £398:eek::eek::eek: told him what I payed last time & he asked me if I still had the paper work for it erm no. Think they have super seeded the part No again as the part No on mine is also for the 3L Terrano:confused:

Not sure if mine is faulty so was just going to get one from Nissan again to try & keep as a spare if it didn't fix the prob but yes think it's going to be an ebay job:augie

The china stuff is only getting better as time goes on, you'll probably find they do the job just as well. (May have a shorter life though)

Just try not to buy a Chinese Bosch copy... Stinka will testify to the quality of those!

It's true they may not all be bad, but at best it's a lottery.

Just for kicks, try asking the Nissan dealer for a price on a MAF for a Primera 2.0D as I believe they are similar/same...
Well the part numbers on mine are
Nissan: 22680-7f406
Bosch: 0281002596
Might try a dealer in Cumbria to see what they come back with:lol TBH i'm sure the ones on ebay have an older part No as I can't see Nissan changing the MAF's or ECU etc on the later models when they penny pinched & left off the front recovery hook & fitted a plastic fuel tank gaurd:doh

I did some research into this a couple of years ago and found an alternative Vauxhall part that contained the same sensor:

Nissan quoted me £300 for my crank sensor so I went to www.amayama.com and got it for £70. Imported from japan and a genuine nissan part
