How is it with your headlights off?
The quality of detail is very good

recorded some brill lanes with it.
but it loops recordings. if your recording card is small it will automatically delete and burn over previous films without backup

Hi,this is a new camera. With memory cards all of these camera's will overwrite the first files when the card is full. That is why i use a 32gb card.(class 10)I have two of these cards.I insert one for normal road driving and one for any off road driving.(Just to make it easier for me to locate my files)Although a 32gb card should be ample for a day's driving.

doesn't sound like an issue, exosteve, sounds normal as Bry says. Thats what a DVR will do to ensure you always have the latest recording available. the trick, as Bry says, is to get a decent high capacity memory card :thumbs

Ok i have added a Video, with the Car Cam at night with my headlights off.I am parked up in a well lit up area. Also i have added a daytime driving video.

I am still playing around with this In Car Cam.Zoom,Photo's,Resolution etc.
For anyone Purchasing any In Car Cam.You may have to purchase a micro card,(Class 10 i recommend)unless you already have one, also a card reader unless you have one,or your PC has one built in.This In Car Cam comes with a handy usb charging cable. So all files can be transferred direct to PC,without having to remove the micro card.

Night vision as I understand it is no external light source, just the IR lights built in.

Looks to be the bee's knees! Quite fancy one of those.
Do you know if the small camera is usable in the rear window, & does it have a long enough cable? I asked this question via e-bay but not received a reply (due to hols?).

Sorta both, night vision as I understand is no external light source, what do you see on camera when it is dark, with no external lights?

Micktheshed, I have a camera at the back, I had to use an extension to get there, I put it behind the back of the centre consul thing I actually have a switch to turn my cameras on so they are running from my leisure battery when I am away from the Mav

Sorry for the delay, the power lead is quite long.If you have a rear Cigarette socket it should easily be long enough. In fact once i have finished my testing.I am thinking of putting one in the rear of my truck.
I will post some pics later and a link if anyone is interested. This camera is about the size of a old Nokia Phone.

Hi Dave, you are quite correct.Regarding night vision,to a certain extent. But i guess any Camera that sees at night has night vision. This camera has got white infra lights.Since it is illegal to have red Infra lights to the front of a vehicle.:doh Screws my plan to fit one to the rear :doh:doh

biggest issue with mine is the battery life.
im lucky if I get an hour from full charge.
meaning its got to be permanently plugged into my cigar lighter which is a very iffy fit resulting in it switching itself off..

OK i have added a couple of photo's.To show the size of my In car Camera. Also i have added two more videos.I have at the moment got it mounted along side my rear view mirror. On these two video's i have been playing around with the Zoom Feature. But upon playback,i thought it was not as smooth,as when left to default settings.Although i think this feature could be handy when taking Photo's.
I have not yet tested all of the features yet..
