Aye I was gonna say IE11 too Clivvy, go to the top right of the browser and click on the cog wheel, then click on about. You'll be able to see what version you have. IE11 is abysmal!!!!

you can install another browser if you like, but the issues are easily fixed as Jim says - add the site to the compatibility list and it will work ok.

It is an automatic update now for Windows 7 yes, and its causing a lot of issues. I work in IT, and so far its affected several websites my clients use for drug and alcohol support sites etc, and also (get this) it affects some email clients in particular Outlook 2003 and 2007 in that when a person types up their long email, and sends it (seemingly all is well) half the text is removed and lost. Its a HTML rendering issue but ill shut up now.

sorry just realised. to fix the site, click the cog top right, then click compatibility view settings and then add (do this from the site you are having trouble with). Close IE then reopen.

You could of course roll back to IE10.

Control Panel > Uninstall Program > View Installed Updates Then click on IE11 and uninstall at top of screen. It'll want a reboot but will bring it back to IE10. To stop it updating again use the cog wheel and back to about ie10 and untick the update automatically box.

I've still come across issues even with the compatibility thing. I just dump it full stop.
I can understand why people use other browsers.
