how well the Terrano tows, I cant believe how well it towed, so far as to say it was far better than the Cruiser, maybe not so good off the mark but once its rolling it was far more comfortable, never had to drop it out of 5th gear all the way to North Yorkshire and dragged along at 65 all the way

I have read lots but just couldn't understand how it would do so well, but it does. All I can do it recommend one for the job

few years ago the caravan club mayday aquired a couple of 2.7rdi terranos
as loan cars to members to allow them to continue their holiday.

reckon that says something about the all purpose value for money and the
ability to tow any uk domestic caravan, certainly at that time.

I did over a 1000 miles in West Wales this summer in my T2 towing a bigger caravan than that, they are just right for the job. I think a T2 is a good compromise/middle of the road, you won't find anything that does everything quite as well, and certainly not for the same money.
