It's supposed to be a bit windy this weekend so should be plenty of wind fall wood around too.

I have a near unlimited supply of pallets from work :D just need a wood burner now
I pick them up for a mate as and when and he looks after me if I jeed any tools, welding, or help with my Air Rifle or Car lol
Remeber when I needed a vice to do my UJ's? ;)

I cant wait to rip my gas fire out. Even though its a living flame, instant heat with no mess, very controllable gas powered jobbie:D
So for now I will do the same as I have for the past few years.
Sit in my 17'x12' very brightly lit greenhouse with that uneconomical log burner down there and paint my airfix:D(im 45 year old kid).with a wine or two.
last winter when it was snowing it was 40 degrees in my greenhouse.:D
either way I am not going cold for no one.
with having so much free fuel I am thinking of ripping the fire out and having an open fire till funds allow a burner.
although the one I brought for the green house is now very used it only cost 100 quid off ebay 7 years ago.

Our neighbours ripped out their open fire place and chimney a few years ago...FOOLS
And now have a nice clean:augie but very expensive to run gas jobbie, I did try and tell him to leave the chimney at least.

A load and a half of my logs.
Heating, cooking and hot water at mine is logs only. Don't even have an electric oven.

A neighbour of mine is installing a wood burner, I offered him some off cuts from my new decking, he said he couldn't burn treated or tantalised wood, due to the chemicals given off during the burning process.
So what is the state of this decking?
Just wondered:nenau
I must admit a wood burner could be cheap to run...:naughty

seems a shame to burn it really.
there is a massive amount and lots of 3"x2" 20'+ lengths.
I will be using some of it tto build a new roof for my greenhouse and a bit for a work bench .but I don't have a problem burning the rest even with treated wood.
as the title says im not going cold this winter and the energy supplies are forcing people to look for alternatives.
with a bit of luck my irish lotto will come in tomoz and I can warm my house with a new log burner:D otherwise the telly dvd player music mixer and stuff will be in the greenhouse with me while im nice and toastie in there.:D
I wish I hadn't binned my t2 towbar:doh
If I had a trailer the amount of wood I can get for free is... well a lot..
I have a lot of customers which means a lot of contacts:D
