View Full Version : my new shed/garage
Finally got myself my own shed at a decent price. :naughty
It's got electricity and lightning already (which is included in the monthly price). Also a nice concrete floor.
It's only 5 second walk from my work, So I got wifi as well.
Just got the go-ahead to remove the internal partition and add a wider/taller set of doors so I can drive a lifted truck in. :thumbs
Pics make it look small inside but theres space for about 2 vehicles with enough room to walk around them.
Plans are to finally get my roll cage on and challenge wings on the 90. Then build a trialer from probably a old disco v8 chassis.

Nice one bud, look forward to seeing the pics once the work gets started :thumb2
Always good when you've got a space to work in, even if you have to clear up a mini oil slick every once in a while  (there's some leaky seals on the tractor's hydraulic rams so it weeps hydraulic oil when it's left sitting - winter job will be replacing them)
I'm fortunate to have two - if my tractor shed isn't good enough and I really need some space I can get the use of my mate's tractor shed/grain store/workshop - he has BIG tools :naughty
Roof rack ordered btw (went for the big one), guess I better get the grinder warmed up! :D
I wish I had a big warehouse style shed, so plenty of room but this will do for now.
Taking the partition out, Also bought some wood for the new twin doors. Did not buy enough but can start making the doors.

Bit of progress today. Took the old door off and started to make twin doors big enough to drive vehicles in. Think I made it a bit too high. Hope to have the doors hanging tomorrow.

Looking awesome bud :thumb2
Been spending more time in the shack due to the dark evenings and cold. Starting to fill up with the essentials.
Got a radio and my old 2.1 speaker.sub PC speakers for a little extra bass.
Borrowing a small 2kw heater from work, but will need to buy myself one.
Just finished converting my mig welder to a euro torch. Hoping to add a 16a socket to the shed for some extra current for it too.
Still got some junk that needs getting rid off from the past occupant.

get a log burner mate. heat it up in no time
get a log burner mate. heat it up in no time
I was thinking that but it's a pain if I am only in there for a hour tops lunchtime then maybe a hour after work. I don't pay for electric usage so a electric heater will do for now. I don't mind the cold and when I am working on vehicles I prefer it, but this takes the edge off it.
Started on the long work bench today. :thumb2
