Hello all

I am a Nissan / Car noddy but pondering a purchase of a XTrail in the 2004-2007 age for a second car to two a caravan

I have checked the weights and all seems ok regarding safely towing etc

In my initial searches I have come across a few questions that you guys might be able to solve / help with

Are there any turkeys in the range to avoid?
What do different specs mean SVE/ Sport / Columbia etc?
What is difference between Di and DCI - Does it matter?
Should i be avoiding / looking for details on the particle filter? ( seems to come up a lot)

I cant help much with car related responses but happy to trade angling tips in Notts as i am a keen angler !!

All help genuinely appreciated - The car will only do approx 10 miles per day - apart from hols etc

final question - what should i be looking for on forecourts?

Why not go to a Nissan dealers and see what info they have on the spec of these cars.
I don't know much about them, but have heard of quite a few problems with turbo's blowing up, I believe these are Renault engines, so don't have the build quality of Nissan engines.
Just google x trail engine problems.

Sure there was a comparison/buyers guide of the x-trail in the previous (ie one before the current) issue of 4x4 magazine. I'll try to look it out over the next day or two for you and see if I scan it in at work :thumb2
