Took advantage of the warm weather to put some better protection under the Patrol. I've only done under the wheelarches and the chassis under them but most of the rest of the motor has already got a good coating anyway.
Just a few more bits to do, but I'm off to work soon so will do more tomorrow.

I don't particularly enjoy doing it, but it's definately worth it in the end and being an ex Landy owner I'm not new to rustproofing ;)

Yes the chassis is like in the pictures all over. No rot at all. No rot on the body either. It's all been rustproofed, probably from new and I believe it's spent some of it's life in Australia.

I think mine has spent some of it's time on ebay, and may do so again :lol

but to be fair it is a good solid example and i even fitted new discs and pads last week and changed the gearbox and rear diff oil, so I'm not as lazy as I make out :thumbs

I think if they've been looked after when new as far as rustproofing goes then they usually have a good fighting chance. I've caught mine at just the right time because the hardest wearing areas under the arches etc needed re-doing.

Where I cleaned it up it's all original chassis paint. Gives me a warm gooey feeling inside cos I'm weird like that. :o
