So Toby the terrano is now off the road as the license has ran out and the head gasket has gone...I think, I spoken to my mate Jack, and he's going to weld my truck and also give me a hand rubing down the chassis and we are going to attack it with hammerite. Also, drop the tank and sort the rot behind it. Ohh and make a crosmember for the front. Then move onto fixing the engine. I've already spoken to my friend Zenka 'the polish one who also brings terrano parts from Poland......cheap:D' as her dad has a machine shop, so I'll see if I could exchange a bottle of vodka for a nicely skimmed head:naughty.:augie

Anyhow, that Is the plan. Shouldnt take a lifetime to do as I've got 2 friends who can help, jack, who can do the welding, and Zenka, who is wanting to learn about mechanics so she can be mine and Jack's apprentice:lol should be fun.

we started work today pressure washing the underside, came up good, no rot that i didn't know about, lots of surface rust on the chassis but nothing structural, we are just sitting in the sun drying off now:lol:lol

You'reright I am, I'm hammerighting the chassis, and waxoilibg the body as its easier to spray it onto the body. Chassis will be brush painted

It really is, there's a hole under the washer bottle where the pressure washer went through :augie but that's it, rest is just surface, that'll be rubbed off. :clap

Well, my friend has gone home and I've gone inside as the heat outside is unbelievable:eek: I know we moan if it raining but this is stupid, even worse as theirs no cool breeze either. Well, me and my apprentice have been very busy with the terrano, she waxoyled both wings, and I done most of the underneath, she also spray painted a lot of the exterior Plastic panels from grey to satin black:naughty oh, and she's taken a few piccies too!:thumb2

You doin a brilliant job Ryan,keep it up mate.attention to detail is the secret,when i did mine i forgot to put side repeater plugs and cables through the wing, swine of a job afterwards and got covered in waxoil/underseal.
