Can you get a half decent/rot free caravan for under a grand ?

Been looking at 5 berth vans twin axle ones like the bailey senator

What other twin axle make/models are ok/worth a punt ?

problem is the ply wall is just a symptom of the real problem so you really need to dig in to check where the leak is coming from(its not your breath, if they tell you that walk away), for a bag of sand we looked at total sh#tters tbh, crap specs and serious problems. for a grand expect 18 months holidays if you are lucky and a trailer on ebay after that tbh :(

why a twin? I have fixed loads of damp caravans, I restore classics as a hobby so I can offer any advice you need. :thumb2

Why a twin axle, there are plenty of vans in the Swift group in single axle available, look at Sprites, Eccles or Sterling, according to garage where we get our service one of the groups with best record for no damp etc: also around October NEC caravan and motorhome show is best time as people are swapping in for new models, could get a bagain. even at dealers its possible to get a bargain, if they dont come down in price get them to throw in extras like awnings etc.

How deep are the scratches.

Very very fine wet and dry.
then a good T cut type of stuff.

Or just the T cut stuff

My old mobile phones used to get so scratched i couldn't read the screen. I restored them quite a few times using a buffer wheel on a Dremel and Autosol. No doubt it would work on the above too.

The Elddis and Swift caravans fair really well age wise
Tamworth caravans used to do some caravans from £500 personally we got a damp meter off Ebay and brought from ebay as you can normally get abetter deal with more extras
