Decided to go find a few green lanes myself today seein as it was too wet to clean windows.
Found quite a few good lanes that were a bit tricky.
the ground was very wet and slippy and my tyres are crap.im just glad I didnt get stuck.
did quite a few videos that were great.
untill i put them on the pc.
they didnt copy and i deleted them from the camera:doh

Wet grass can be the worst thing ever. It's a nightmare mate !
Your truck standard then mate ? You fancy a trip out one day to take in some decent lanes around that way and in to Buxton way ?

Ive got new discs pads, shoes, antiroll bar bushes, drop links body lift kit and a few bits besides sitting here waiting for my mate to fit when he has time.
Ive almost got my money for the cooper stts n wheels.
doin my head in waitin now or id of been up every lane going.
Ive still to service front hubs and remove towbar then fit roof lights snorkel and winch.
my and jac have had a brill day out for the sake of a little fuel money and i LOVE it.
yes mate im up for rediscovering the peak district with you.
ive walked lots and lots of miles over it. but it was a good rush in the truck today.
my mate better hurry up and get me jobs done for strata weekend.
You doing sus lift ? That's most important lift tbh mate, as gets your front cross member, chassis, front diff, gearbox etc up out the mud

yes want +3 rear shocks and your dislocation cone job done too.
hope it doesnt make me want 33s :lol
Tbh mate, tyres have never let me down on the lanes, landies have one big disadvantage on the ruts and that's that front diff in the way

front are 2 general grabbers with about 4mm. rear spare is a scorpian summat with inadiquate tread pattern and the other rear is very much a road tyre with about 2mm.
gutted I lost my videos it was deep muddy terrain.
the tyres may have coped but its all down to confidence in your equipment.
no brakes, crap tyres and not enough experience is what im lacking and a new cb radio i dont know how to use:D.
but its all new to me and exiting :naughty.
for me its all about getting to remote beauty spots and having fun on the way.
look forward to my pull out stove and kettle for a nice cup o coffee somewhere stupidly hard to get to.
most remote place I know in the uk is knoydart. dunno if its leagle to off road there though.
time for research
