Welcome to our club, there's plenty of guys here who do serious off roading, you have the right truck to do it in too.
You may also find you don't need to get pulled out of the mud so much as you may have in the Disco ;)

I think you will hear horror stories about most vehicles, these do and will rust out badly, but they are good off road and in the snow, with a bit of preventative treatment, you can slow the rust down aswell.
welcome that's a nice truck.
Welcome mate
First mod is to bin your rear anti roll bar, then I'd advise updating your steering idler. Best way to do that is to mod a steering box to replace it

that's true mate,
going to fully underseal her all underneath and treat the little bubbles above windscreen and tiny bit on passenger rear sill apart from that she is very very clean and solid underneath

Good morning. You've just joined the best 4x4 club by far (apologies to LR!) I also have a swb '94, but mine's a Terrano, not that there's any difference.
I have also found a way to slow down the dreaded tin worm, move it to Spain!
As we spend around half the year in Spain we needed a car there, and as a lot of the places we visit are up mountain tracks a 4x4 was a must. We bought it (in England) 4 years ago and drove it to the Malaga region. The rust in the sills and around the wheel arches doesn't appear any worse in that time, in spite of 140,000 miles on the clock (and 19 years under the wheels).
Still uses no engine oil and will easily outrun my daughters' 2.5 Shogun (she lives in Spain).
You've bought a cracking little motor, and the best and most reliable year - happy motoring!
