ha ha, something tells me snow chains wouldn't help the Fiat-I LOVE that car though...which I suppose is why im being a bit more reserved with the idea of clearing the snow...

snow tyres are the way to go. i got 4 saab alloys with snow tyres to go on my zafira and i have yet to get stuck. not even had a scary moment yet.. theres 5 ft of snow covering the road on the other end of the estate i can go there but 4x4's are turning around and also a gritter..

aye I heard snow tyres are great, I just cant afford a set, and I cant keep swapping them out!!

I know that sounds daft considering im talking about buying another car, but you know what I mean!

I think what I miss, is a car that can drive over the snow. Snow tyres are fine on regular, compacted road snow, but no good through deep snow or up hills like mine :(
