Pop to a motor factor, and take it with you, they sell pipe by the 1/2 meter.
Make sure to tell them it is vacuum pipe, as on some high pressure pipe, the inside will collapse, as it is designed that the pressure pushes the inner against the re-enforcing, keeping it open, where as Vacuum pipe does not need to be up to the high pressures, but it is made so it does not collapse under a vacuum.

Is that pipe perished or something?
You can do a good temp repair with amalgamating tape, water and vacuum proof :thumbs
Should be in every offroader's glove box

yeah, i fixed my bottom rad hose with amalgamating tape:D i can'y be bothered temp repairing it as is means removing the alternator again as the pipe is in a awkward place
it's an easy job to do the alternator, and its not got a bodge cage welded onto it either
there's other low pressure pipes perished, but i have the right pipe to sort that :D
make sure your alternator is turning the right way round :augie
