You may be able to tow it in low box no winch needed

Good fun winching the van onto it's final resting place, my mate's Warrior got it to here before loosing traction, also we had to have a good position to unhook him as no way would it go all the way up connected, the scaffold boards would not have stayed there

That's epic.

In the third image one of the vans wheels is off the ground!

Do you get more pull from using a blockand tackle at the top?

Regards

Alan

yep it was great fun, for me, all I had to do was press buttons on the winch control, for the others I think it was quite hard work, but then they have youth on there side, Rick

yes one block at the top reverses the pull from my winch motor then 2nd block on the van doubles the winch power, Rick

Abit of a pain if they go away alot or is it staying there as a garden feature?

no it is a permanent feature, lots of new fence panels laying on the ground ready to be erected round it, Rick

Google "snatch block" mate :thumb2 they're a must have in your 4x4 recovery kit :sly

In fact you should have two then you can pull yourself out backwards with only one winch ;)

Sorry to pull this old one out Pete, but how do you do it with only two blocks, I need three?, Rick

Okay is it going to be a Granny Flat or a summer sleep over house?

Looks too good a van to be a shed I am guessing plumbed in water & mains with possibly a sewer pipe as well ? Cheaper than moving house for an extra bedroom with ensuite.

Do not know about caravans especially twin axle but if it is anything like a car trailer then could be around 3 tonnes, Rick

It was going to be semi permanent accommodation for a guy and his Mrs with a couple of kids, but about 6 months after we sited the van they split up, so it is no longer there, Rick

Rick I can hardly remember last year let alone 6 years back :lol
No idea what I was on that night, but yes you're right, three turning points needed.
Worst case you could use d shackle but high resistance ofcourse.
I have a rear winch which is about the same cost as three good snatch blocks:lol
Good work again Rick :bow
