I'm more concerned with that RSJ over the front of the building.
It is only resting on what looks like 3" of breeze block. :doh

You might need to wear a hard hat when going into that area.:augie

Nice find Plank but a bit steep I reckon :augie
It would make a cracking tray back and with a nice V8 oil burner up front it would make a tasty project :sly
Go for it :D

I'd buy that if I had the money !!

My dad had one on a c plate, I learned to drive in it when I was 14, 20 years ago

But then we got this from the scrappy FREE and use it on the beach for boat and landrover recovery :lol

Looking at the pics it's pretty fooked. My dad was rotten as hell and that was 20 years ago so '92 it was an '87 truck, I can imagine this example would be totally rotten

Truck back is toast anyhow, not worth repairing the front must be as bad, like inner wings and he says the floors gone.

Must be a nightmare to get spares for, might as well by a Terrano and chop that up, rather than this

I'm not a builder, and that was my first though when I saw those pictures...

Looking at all the other cars there, I think he may have bought that as a project to restore, and then realised it is far worse than it looks. I would have thought it was rather expensive for a 27 year old car as well, we have a 26 year old Volvo 240 here, in far better condition and we can't even get £200 for it, and lets face it, in those days, Datsuns were the epitome of JapCrap, and renowned for having rust on before you even got them out the showroom. It's probably only the paint holding it together.

Shame though, as it has a nice shape, and could look really smart if returned to better condition that when it was built.:lol

Whichever way you look at it is pretty rare and a classic in the making, I agree probably much to much work to make it worthwhile but a shame to see the Datsun brand disappear. If I were interested in making some bizarre off road project I wouldn't buy it no, it would be a lot of work wasted as It would essentially be scrapping it anyway :nenau
