just thought id share my happiness.
last week my beloved terrano 2 failed its mot. as i need a motor to get to work and ferry my kids around a friend kindly loaned me a bmw m3 while i repaird the t2.
this is the worst car i have ever had the pleasure of. its a 3.2 liter 320 bhp bitch.
its cost me a small fortune to run i.e £20 for 35 miles running on high octane petrol.
anyway ive repaired my t2 and got 12 months mot and felt so relieved to have my dirty 2.7 diesel back.
it may be rusty, dirty and slow but it costs nothing to run, parts are readily available and you can take it anywhere. i f***ing love it.
:clap

p.s. the bmw is for sale. if anyone is interested its a 1997 rare 4 door m3 evolution in black with a long t&t £3500 ono :nenau

yay!! I feel the same about my 3dr Maverick. It sits there, day in, day out, because I use my Fiat Stilo as a daily driver. When I do decide to use the Mav, I jump in, take a good sniff of that mucky, oily air inside, and start it up. Always starts first time, and off we go to do some work. Only had to top the tyres up recently, but it just goes without complaint!!

as for the M3...well, I am not surprised to hear what you say. we had a new V8 one at work, boss got talked into it by BMW sales guy, and although initially it was an awesome bastard, ended up costing way too much to run, im talking less than 10mpg costs and dangerous to drive on normal roads.

I'm with you Clivvy, my terrano is a 2nd or even 3rd car, so when I do use it, I love the feel of it.
There are a few thing I want to do, like shocks and things

I love mine too! it's my daily car but i go up and down farm roads daily, fuel & insurance compared to my 406 (which it replaced) equals the same per annum so neither here nor there

and yes mine is dirty, smelly, bare basic, go almost almost anywhere (tho think most of that is lack of 4x4 experience tbh & only in really muddy stuff). it hasn't been looked after by previous motors but i'll fix it :thumb2

I too own a BMW, its only the 520 SE though and its a diesel, but what do i have parked out side work right now, The Beast. Even though its covered in mud from green laning on Sunday and looks like it should be in a MAD MAX film i still like to drive this more than the BM. I only keep that in case i need to go anywhere far or i want to look POSH. To be honest it ran out of Tax in August and iv had it SWORN as i was not using it.

When i renewed my insurance they asked me if i was part of an owners club, i said yes and told them about this place and the lady on the phone laughed and said it dont count!
so how do we get this site recognised by insurance companies so we get a discount on our premiums?
