Hi,would anyone be intrested in taking on a troubled 4x4,its a 1998 terrano 2.7tdi touring, taxed for six months, mot for 11 months, its very tidy, has all the whistles and bells, tow bar,4 new runway enduro tyres, everthing works, only problem is it keeps going into limp mode when it warms up.nobody seems to know why, everyone i knows had a look, but i still cant get it to go properly,it drives ok,but snails overtake me,so ive decided to let it go,who knows, someone else may have the answer, but its going cheap, make me an offer, would consider a 4x4 which needs work,as long as its runs right lol, call me on 07795 599919, many thanks, andy.:nenau

You may be right, its driving me nuts, its a cracking motor, the engines great when it first starts, goes like a rocket, but it just keeps diying on me !!!,im pulling my hair out,we have replaced nearly all the sensors etc,run out of ideas lol
crankshaft position sensor ( ckp )
Have you been to nissan to get the fault codes read properly with consult 2 ?
Should cost £30
post fault codes here and well tell you what it is.
I had this on mine btw, it was a dodgy maf sensor.
other things are throttle pedal, split intercooler or boost pipes, leaking inlet manifold gasket or throttle housing, egr valve stuck open, injector no1 needle lift sensor.
But like i say get the fault codes off first and let us know :)

theres a clue
crankshaft position sensor ( ckp )
aye, this as well
But u need the codes read with a proper consult, no pint just chucking all your money at it replacing everything.
boost leaks are dead common and produce this fault
Have you done the maf ? did you use a genuine one from nissan ?
either take it to nissan for the codes read ....... or do it yourself :thumb2

Hi, we replaced the ecu temp sender with a new one,got it from millner 4x4,and replaced the air mass sensor,as that came up on the fault code, its got a bosch system on it,but mine unusual,as it has no egr valve fitted.

maf came from local autofactors, but it has the correct bosch number on it,so i assume its correct,or could be a faulty new unit?? how do i test it??

There u go.
I bet its a chinese copy.
Bosch one will have bosch logo and bosch on it
I did this, i got a cheapo one, ended up replacing everything as i figured i'd done the maf, but i needed a genuine one from nissan. got that and hey presto instant fix
post a pic of the housing and remove the sensor its self and post a picture of that for me to see if its a genuine bosch
might well be but i wouldnt trust your factors with a maf sensor, worth double checking
