So i though I would check mine for sure. Not towing it will do between 27 and 32.5 (my brother drove it to London 'fast' and it was 27) 65mph'ish = 32.
I had to tow my car trailer, 500kg and pick up a car, 1350kg, so 1850 return load. Obviously 55-60 with the car on but it averaged 27!! 95% motorway btw.
I just love Terrano's! They are brilliant!
remember that the terrano's speedo is out. which makes it look like you get more MPG.
only real mpg test is to fill to the brim, i think mine got around 32mpg on a long run when i did that

We brimed it a number of times, but if the speedo's are notoriously wrong, what about the mileage counter?

I am assuming the milage must also be as far out as the speedo, therefore the 'brim' MPG test is aslo inacurate, but sadly there is not much else you can do :nenau

I guess you could use a satnav unit to gauge mileage?

yep, the same with speed I tend to assume that the truth lies somewhere between the two figures as there is no way to prove your sat nav is any more accurate than your speedo. I have two tomtom's and they both vary from each other as well as th speedo :nenau
