OMF'ingG!
Does that mean all petrol cars with an LPG conversion will become illegal? All twin tanks diesels running environmentally friendly WVO instead of pump diesel?
Sodding Europrats!

Bounced the link across to one of the founders of the GTROC. They have several peeps who are expert at getting to the bottom of this sort of political nads and putting the bottom line in English.

All this sounds like the road (excuse the pun) Spain went down some time ago - their MOT, called an ITV, will fail a vehicle having a towbar, extra lights, tinted windows, bullbar/A bar unless it came from the factory with these fitted, and they are shown on the Spanish registration document.
Non-standard wheels or tyres, raised body/suspension, non-standard exhaust, body/engine numbers that do not match the original registration document, mods to the body (extended or enlarged wheel arches and the like) are all a no-no - these are just some of the fail items I have come across so far, no doubt there are many more.
Sounds to me like we could be heading towards a common EU policy governing vehicle testing! Ho hum!
There are many eu regulations that many countrys chose to ignore/not adopt
I wouldn't worry tbh lads
I dont see this really getting in, look at the money the govenment will miss out on from the tax people pay on the goods they buy to do the mods. let alone the modding people that will be out of business cos no one can but stuff any more.

NOOOOOOO!!! If they do this that'll be another hobby of mine destroyed:banghead :( they already stopped me from towing so i can't take my pony to shows! now they wanna do this. arrrggggg!!!!!!:banghead
I might aswell :surrender
Another erosion of our soveriegn rights to make sensible and informed choices about the way we live our lives.
This country is quickly becoming a place where the police have unreasonably broad powers, and treat everyone like a terrorist, along with our puppet government pandering to the leftist policies of the largely unelected beurocrats in europe.
I will not be voting for any of the main three/two parties next time and sticking my X next to the UKIP candidate. The quicker we get out of europe the better.... Rant Over!

You may have a work round, i deal with this stuff for work and know most of the law (I say most because they keep changing it).

This little gem has caused quite a shitstorm across the modding community already. Spain and Germany have regs similar to this and it can be a nightmare, judging by reports from some owners based in those countries.
