what are pickled eggs?

i know this is a strange question to ask on a 4X4 foume but hay:lol, went to a polish pizza place earlier ran by 2 women:sly, (we have such things in scotland):augie and there were pickled eggs on the counter,

what are these pickled eggs?, what's the differance between normal eggs and picked ones? apart from pickled ones being in a jar in stuff that looks like gear oil

guys and girls, i have eaten a pickled egg, thinking thay'll be horrid and i can say they are not..... i like them:eek:, couldn't eat a lot at once though:rolleyes:
