It is a 1999 2.8, Touring, whatever the Touring bit means?

First Nissan I have ever owned, had plenty of Toyotas in the past, hope it proves to be as good..............:thumbs

I had a Toyota Surf/Hilux for a while and much prefer the Trol for pure grunt and offroading ability.
I'd like the old tailgate gubbins off the Hilux though, hmmmmmm, I feel a mod coming on :sly

Not a good start to Patrol ownership, the car has spunked an oil cooler pipe on its first foray..............:doh

It has been back in to be sorted, still got a slight leak, couple of drops a day.But it is going back next week to get properly done.

Initial impressions.

Nice to drive.

Has less grunt than the Hilux, it just seems to be revving higher to get going. The hilux would pull away easier at lower speeds and off road.wether that is because the Patrol is higher geared or what I don`t know.

All in all quite chuffed with it, be happier when the oil cooler pipes are sorted.

Had to take the back seats out, took too much room up with no real benefit to me.

Appears to do similar mpg as well.
