hello all ive just bought a new crank sensor for terrano 27tdi 96 , problem is the end of it the plug doesnt fit ,its has three pins like original but the casing its in is different more square then original original is square rounded , any ideas ? can i replace the receiving plug to match the new one as the motor factors say thats whats listed for my reg on 96 im stuck as i need to replace old one

eyup Pablo, they have sent you the wrong one, simple.
I had this issue when I bought mine, there are TWO sensors dependent on year. Send it back, get the other one. I can probably find you the correct part code tonight when I get hoem if you like?

not being tight mate selling car soon need to keep it running in meantime short on cash just asking some advice thats all

absolutey chap.
did you sort it? I think wrong sensor, but its approx £190 for a new one. May be worth getting one from a breaker ....
if he's selling it why bother? :doh
