ordered one of these yesterday at 5 pm came this morning at 9.30 am:thumb2

Picture quality is crap! I called the seller, he was very nice gave me a direct number to technical support, they were CRAP! Told me (rudely) I would have to view it exactly head on and at exactly eye level or the picture would go black, so basically that rules out two people watching it at the same time!

Conclusion: they are sending a courier to collect it back and I'm getting a refund.

Moral: don't buy a Cello 12v TV for your caravan

cello seem to be the brand all 12v TV suppliers are selling, so be careful when you order. The support line is 10p a minute and then they are rude to you when you call!

did I mention the sound was crap too?

I'd have bought one of these from where I work

http://www.directtvs.co.uk/Evotel_LE2201FHDVD_22_Inch_DVD_LED_Combi_TV__LE220 1FHDVD/version.asp#maindesc

nice unit, DVD, LED, USB, full HD, 12v connection, 22" but very slim. Think we have them on display, I had a look a while back for our caravan, looked perfect,. picture quality was very good. worth a look.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will follow up the links tomorrow. I believe my Cello TV is faulty but the service line refuses to accept this and have let me, and themselves , down badly so no more Cello stuff for me.
I have gone back to my 5 old Aldi 15.6" TV that also runs on 12V, has freeview and uses 4 watts less power but has no built in DVD or USB - though it CAN be viewed from virtualy any angle.
The woman from Cello said "All small screen TVs are the same you have to view them straight on" she said her 17 inch cello is the same!

seen that name i think in the likes of sainsburys., thought was their own brand
so maybe not.

we bought a 16" alba from argos almost three years ago for the trailer, keep it
in its box face down in bed box. works nice subject to troublesome digital
freeview pixelating if reception isnt perfect.

i think alba is their own brand, as bought the name in. to be fair the viewing
angle on it is so so thought sometimes darker detail become a grey-black fog.

try to keep it in the box, as think away from home, not home from home. its
mains only though have used on an invertor, then eats the 110Ah battery and
find the invertor needs a good voltage in the battery.

watching our old aldi (tevion) TV now, running on 12v using a lead robbed from a mini beer fridge at an angle of around 45 degrees and it only consumes 36 watts. Kerry recons it's more like 10 years old. So I might just keep it a bit longer. Not wide screen thought and as TT2 said it does pixelate on freeview unless signal is very good. But you can't have eveything, can you?

Just bought a 20" logik set from curry's 12v LED, built in DVD, USB recording, Riverview, Surround sound (type thing), load more inputs and outputs. A better looking and more quality feeling set (if that makes sense?)

£139.99 :thumb2

Now ordering a stabilised 12v power supply approx £35

So quids in over the cello's £179.99 and for a bigger screen and more functions!

Thanks for the links and the replies :clap
