Hi All,
No previous 4 by 4 experience and just aquired a 2002 2.7TDi Auto LWB for monkeying about. Its pretty rot free but I suspect not been loved in recent years.
Like to do a fair amount of my own spannering (but mostly motorbikes so this is a departure) This club looks like the right place to start.
Few gremlins to evict on the new toy so advice on how to approach it much appreciated.

Can I get a manual (Haynes etc) for this model?

EMS light comes on on the overrun , and power drops off. EMS goes out if you flick the throttle and power returns-where do I start? Motor sounds fine and pulls through to the red line cleanly when the EMS is out.

I need 4 new tyres. Mostly road but 30% on muddy tracks/wet fields. Whats recommended for sensible money?

Can I get a facia panel to fit a standard CD radio ? Panel contains the warning light switch.

Passenger front elec.window doesn't want to play. Am I missing anything obvious (safety switch anywhere) ?

Should I have a remote key fob with the key?

No doubt there will be more questions so thanks for any helpyou can offer

Hi Nige

"I need 4 new tyres. Mostly road but 30% on muddy tracks/wet fields. Whats recommended for sensible money?"

Re tyres - I used Toyo ATs from Camskills on my previous T2 and I'll get them on my new one when the time comes. Great tyres for 30% off road and good value, highly recommended.

good link, though dont think those mountains are that great though.
my truck came with them and whilst they run pretty quiet as ATs
I suspect there are better treads, they are also remoulds but do
have good weight and speed rating 106S.

Suspect they wear quicker than some.
