So you wouldnt see point in converting fixed hubs to manuals

to reduce wear n tear on front end then, maybe save 0.x mpg
like the old sales patter used to be with series landies?

thing is when unlocked, would lose shift on fly benefits.

ok can get out and lock 'em in advance of 'trouble' providing
you can see trouble ahead.

what i like about my fixed hubs is idiot proof, going to be a lot
easier for non enthusiats like the mrs to use 4wd in anger. she
was happy with autos, but cant see being impressed about
having to get out and lock manuals. ok once locked are like
fixed and could run locked all time but then what benefit....

Totally not - we already know that they work fine and only break when someone dismantles them and puts them back together badly, or engages 4WD while driving up a mountain at 45 degrees and 70mph.....

Manual hubs are for old-school LR owners who thinks its macho to leap out of a warm truck into two feet of slurry that we wouldn't have got stuck in in the first place LOL....:lol:clap
