I have just got my second Terrano having owned a 2.7 for 7 years.
The new one being a 3.0sve. I am Already very happy with the way it tows my Sterling Eccles Onyx caravan as if it were not there but my question is what is the best motor oil for it and what do you owners think of the tuning chips for added bhp etc and if good then what one is the best

Use the oil that nissan says in the book, from memory this is 5w-30 CG4 and change it at least as often as the book says!
As far as tuning the 3.0, setting the thing up properly is an absolute must and will yield improved drivability. After that a *GOOD* custom remap is the only way to go, not a tuning box. Boost control is very poor and overboosting / high egt's are to be expected as standard, but can all be corrected.
It's as if it was friday 4:45pm and they said that'll do boys, 75% right will have to do!!
They are not straight forward and some might say dont tune it at all , as they're on the ragged edge of holding together as it is!!

I would take Timbo's comments on board there, you already have roughly another 30BHP over and above the 2.7 and better fuel economy.
Just keep the stock unit fed with good oil & filters.

yeah if i was going there, i wouldnt set off from here.....
seriously a zd should be good n sorted by time they got
in the terrano, id just give it some loud pedal and enjoy
what nissan gave you.
as for tuning try to get the austrailian nissan patrol
download, as they seem to know what makes the zd
tick.

more MPG? really? in the real world most people don't find they do no more and many web sites claim the MPG to be exactly the same.
I agree with TTT2 just keep it as it is and keep it well serviced :thumb2

well look at it this way,.. +30BHP and roughly the same fuel consumption = better fuel economy!
Your right foot is ultimately in control.....
