If anyone can say if a bluebird unit is the same, as I bangerd one a few weeks ago and it is sitting in the yard waiting to go to the scrappy, if you can post a pic pos with numbers I can look at all the bits and see if there is one the same, I just have to find a way of getting the mangled bonnet of first:( Rick

I believe some of the many Bluebirds produced used the same Jatco RE4R01A auto box as the Mistral/Terrano. So the TCM would in all probability be electrically the same, but I would imagine it carries different gear mapping for the saloon car!
So it may well work but possibly with shift oddities?

BTW Rick I think it may be behind the passenger kick panel.....

Symptoms were refusal to lock the convertor or what?

I hope your TCM is indeed faulty, fingers crossed.

arrived on Friday and all is ok

Torque convertor lock is working perfect

but slightly different part number (1 number)

seems to rev differently or cos it be that the old TCM was sh@gged

I am happy bunny

thanks for everyones help

Glad you got it sorted finally! You didnt mention the tests you had done to establish the fault was with the TCM but they were obviously correct!
