Jeepers! When I took my Maverick in on the p/x deal on my MR2, little did I know what I was letting myself in for...

First trip out, battery died, rusty exhaust gassed me out then broke off; died on me, half mile from home...: New Battery, new zorst - £210 to you, squire!

Next, it starts coughing & spluttering, conks out again...: New fuel filter, new air filter, clean MAF - another £22...

Throttle cuts out on me - dodgy connection at sender unit...

Gearbox sticking - replaced oil...: £17...

Front shocks sh*gged...: New shocks, £64 a pair...

Took it for a short run - beautiful!!!

Hopefully, it'll be worth the wait & work, now...though that still leaves me the windscreen washer to sort (mysteriously packed up on me in my test-drive tonight with the shocks/gearbox jobs done), the interior light door switches, the drivers' door card & window switch (it decided when it wants to work)...oh, and another set of security wheel-nuts...

Oh, Lord - Please help me to see my way through this winter without further mishap & expense? Pretty PLEASE???? :bow:bow:bow

my screen washer packed up after an air filter change too, the hose runs close to the filter & one of the filter clips clamed it off:doh:doh

Oho! I'll have a look tomorrow at that, then - though I can't actually hear the pump running, so it might not be that...

I've already found this forum to be well worth the tenner's subs, so I'm well-chuffed with my 'investment'! Thanks, guys!:thumbs
