think iandouglas' is on 180k, this is one of the pre production mk1s as i recall.

sometime ago we had a thread going, might be worth trying a search of
archieve, seem to think there was mention of a t2 at 245k, and an y60
troll at 425k

recall a us site where there were owners of pickups and suvs, might not
all have been nissan which were over a million miles.

Extreme has my MkII which currently has well over 210k miles on it.

These engines were put in, I think, the Fairway London taxi and regularly do 300-400k miles up there. Some are even being converted back to spark ignition to meet emissions requirements.

Bottom line is, if a Terrano engine blows up, odds are its because the driver did something stupid.

ah so diesel becomes petrol.

heard of buses and stuff using the cummins 5.9 td
being adapted to lpg, as in using fully, not as an
addon, so those would have spark too.

suppose if built tough as a diesel then will be very
tough spark engine.

Correct - they are turning them into petrol engines with LPG conversion to be precise.

Read it here (I did post this ages ago).

185K Miles on 03 plate 3.0litre. Not failed MOT yet. Did have an issue 2 years ago with gear box but engine sound.

The misses did say I could have a new motor but this is staying for a while yet :thumbs
