Hardly a heated debate, just the same old same old bobble hat brigade getting in bed with the fun police:doh
I agree that offroading on "green lanes" should be just that and not off piste. However it's a bit rich complaining about grass damage on Salisbury Plain ffs :p
On the safety side of things; why bother? If you get hit by a tank round there's a fair chance you wont do it again :lol

What he says...and its the same old bullsh1t that got the Ridgeway close....a few w@nky motorcyclists abusing ancient monuments but the bulk of the damage being done by bloody farm vehicles that are still there...:doh

But same old story, a few tosspots spoiling it for everyone else....as Zippy will tell you there are plenty of legitimate tracks on the plain to keep people happy.

Looking at the glorious list of enforcement officers theyve assembled the chances of getting caught would I suggest be minimal :D

Theres bullshit in them there stats. If you stop and PROPERLY deal with 73 vehicles the chances of not prohibiting or seizing several tucks are vitually zilch.

As far as damaging the land, having driven across it and seen the effect of the things that go bang on it I cant see how any number of off roaders would make much of a difference except for adding a bit of claret to the mud.
