Exactly my thoughts, far far too complicated for me, but then I only dabble at photography, it is a tool after all and if it is your trade and you can use it and make money then it is justified to go for the best you can afford, but I draw the line at a Hasselblad, Rick

Hi R1cho
Having been advised by an award winning professional photographer friend who teaches the 'black art', I've gone down the Canon road and I'm a very satisfied amateur. But if you're going to branch out from that which is compatible with your existing kit you might want to consider Nikon. My professional friend (who uses Canon kit cos he's got ooodles of it) says that in some areas of control, exposure and in-camera image processing Nikon have the edge.

i've tried nikon before but couldn't get on with it, thats why i switched over to olympus, but now they dont seem to be keeping up with the competition and their lenses can be very expensive so i think now is the time to go down the canon road
