Went out on a team wales route finder today and er well the truck needs some attention :doh

Sorry mate it was a spur of the moment job as there was no bloody wind :(
Went to the tuff bit of Brechfa , it was awesome :sly

If it wasn't the whip then I reckon I've been shot by some bobble hat type in a sort of "Deliverance " stylee :)
no worries, I will wait till I get a winch then for that part.
could it be that your ride hit mach1 with lpg injection causing a sonic boom which then broke the windows? :D

Allegedly the patrol was mot'd on Fri :eek: I'll find out tomorrow.
You'll need bigger wheels too for where we went today. I was on the deck with 33s, the defender with us on 35s was winching too and the only one clear (with some effort) was Stuart's thunderbird II on 35s and diff locks etc :D

mine did that going through a low barrier in a car park. but still to this day cant see how. i bent the aerial later to see if it was plausible it could be the aerial and the pressure it takes to get it to hit the window is too much i thought , but its the only possible cause. as im sure i had not been shot

sorry are you saying tehe aerial was on the car when it hit the screen.
hell i know it can wobble arrounf inside the car when not in use so have
it stashed unde back seat sepaerate to the mag mount.

It was on the roof and in use in the woods yesterday:D
We can only guess that it got a proper twatting from a branch or two and somehow clipped the rear screen:doh
Extreme has had it happen and one of the guys out yesterday suggested it while I was convinced it was the banjos :lol

where is the aeriel fixed then? on the rear of ther rails.
glad i have my mini stinger in middle of trolls roof on a mag
out of harms way. seen some have mags on bonnet, reckon
at hat rate could do front screen.

its a shorter version of the ones you have pete. I am suprised the magmount held, I've hit low trees and it's come off.
google mini stinger , or tornado mini stinger ( same thing ) its around half the size of the normal stinger .... ideal for green laning

its a mini stinger ... best to get one with mag mount .... about 15-20 squids on fleabay , unless google finds better

Black with tinted glass....only difference between it and the MkII is the glass doesn't have the right hand side drop down cutout thingwhatsit.
Its complete with wiper, wheel carrier etc...yours for £35 complete.
Only downside is I'm in Oxford at the mo (where the door is) with just a fricking Nissan Micra and not back here again for two weeks and I guess you'll be wanting it before that.....I'll see if it fits in and let you know...:)

there are two stingers , a full size one and a mini stinger make sure you get the mini stinger :thumb2

yes you could , but you will find the mini springer is made out of slightly thinner rod , so if you cut your springer , it wont be truely resonant at the frequency .... ie ..... your swr will be out
no, the coil is different on the mini springer (alot tighter)
and as fez says , the coil is different too .... so ..... not really a good idea
my cb is fuffed, only recieves dont transmit, i think its summat to do with forgettin to unplug it when i had some welding done :doh

if i had the money i would but spent all spare cash on gettin truck done for mot then had to spend another £54 today on inner and outer track rod ends
in all honesty mate , i wouldnt sell it to you unless you where gonna use it , its far too complicated /has lots of features /far more power than the average cb ( 13 times more power ).... and has lots of illegal frequencies ( should you wish to use them ..... obviously not in this country :augie )
pete i just remembered my dad found a mini springer, the bottom of the coil is slightly bent.
if you havn't bought one you can have it

that actually looks bloody nice. whats the extra hole in the middle for
doesn't look that bad. The paint is a bit shiny compared to the rest, Get a sander on it! :D

Chrome gone, plastic gone, shiny bits won't be on Sunday, and I'm not using sandpaper:sly
I don't know what the hole was for but it did have a wire hanging out of it :augie
The inside was all gay beige too, so that's gone too :thumbs
Wiper changed to old one too as it's got a bigger sweep:D

But know what I've just noticed? How cheapskate the facelift was - just like I always said....cos under that bit of plastic the door and window glasss are exactly the same as the MkII!!!:doh
