Looks like a body lift to me rather than chassis??
Wonder how much import tax he's had to pay to get it off the boat? A fortune I bet over there....

So from the Troll aficionados is that one of the decent engined ones ? what are the known problems ?
Dont you just blxxdy hate it when somexxat calls it a jeep though.
Think it might be tricky trying to get it tested here with those bumpers. Paul, import duty and vat would be very strong on a motor that looks that good. Cheaper to bring up a baby.LOL Just checked online, our revenue put an Open Market Selling price on this of €2000, plus €730 VRT which would mean €2730 without tax on the road.Motor tax would cost €1248 a year. A shade under €4000 for someone here to drive away with it. Seems a lot for a 98 motor.

Jeezuz thats some fierce road tax! :doh
Explains why my ex-g/f's uncle used to drive his new cars for at least a year with no plates on, then sell it later as the next years model LOL. Can you still get away with that?

Not really, but a friend of mine regularly drives for about 3 or 4 months without MOT or tax and then gets the form stamped in local Garda station declaring it was off the road for that period. He avoids paying arrears that way but risks losing the motor if he gets caught driving it without tax for three months or more. You would be surprised at the number of people who do that. Personally,I just let it run a few weeks as it is very unlikely that you would be done if the tax is less than a month out of date, just gives a little breathing space but doesn't save you money as they will tax it from the expiry date of the previous disc. Don't think they would even bother stopping you despite their ANPR cars if tax was less than a month out. Should mention that if it was a commercial i.e. no rear seats, tax would be €288 for the year, so remove the rear seats and weld the anchor points to save about €1000.
