Still same hieght, cant lift due to short legs. Its about 28mm higher than before.Too noisy on road to use all time for me .so old wheels back on after next weekend.

Is that size similar to 31 x 10.50 R15? I know that the standard 235/75 R15 is similar to a 30x9.50 R15.

When you say it is 28mm higher, is that under the diff, to the wheel arch???

I'm looking at new tyres, and don't know whether to go with a bigger 15 inch tyre, or fit a bigger tyre (maybe 245/75 R16) to the standard 16 inch alloys, preferably without lifting the vehicle.

Std 235/75/15 are about 29" tall (by 9.25) - fitting 30/9.5/15s to min definitely made a difference. Seems to be the carcase that fits the measurements, so tyres with deep tread actually measure slightly bigger than they 'ought'. I guess thats why some people have fitted 31s with no problems yet I found 30s touched and had to remove the front mud flaps.

They look the biz....

Very smart, how did you get the Colways? I thought they went out of business or did they come with the wheels?

Local l/r owmer bought them new,we both bid on some Kumho tyres on E bay, already had the wheels so bought the tyres off him.Worked out altogether about £230 with new wheelnuts.Only to be used on offroad days cant put up with the noise.
