I had found a place in New quay Wales great walks and and the cottage was set in lovely countryside with the coast on the doorstep i had even moved boxes down there all was going well untill the owner pulled out:doh:doh its all to much hassel so I am giving up for awhile.
The old t2 was doing the miles up and down in style the engine is so smooth well into its retirement really but still going on. It keeps going through the mots and no rust!!!

It is bad when it does not work out, but often I have found that looking at it all later that I was perhaps glad it did not happen, glad the T2 is holding up, and if you want to view East Sussex just give me a shout and will show you round, any way you will be invited to our place soon together with any one on here who wants to come as we will be having a big big party, but date and time will be via PM only, do not want gate crashers, Rick

yes mate but I think that there will be many wanting to stay over and whilst we will have a marque the weather needs to be warmer for those crashing out, but then they will probably not notice anyway, date to be announced, Rick

I intend to have a try at it this year, I can't do it commercially as i don't have the right facilities, but it will be fun trying. I am also looking for new 'livestock' ideas if anyone has any.

Well I have done quite well with turkeys buy in poults in the spring and free range till christmas first year and then breed on a few for the next year . I crossed bronze with norfolk blacks to get big strong birds. They are woodland birds as are chickens so natural cover is good .
i could never produce enough for the demand.
the same with local goats cheese really in demand I could sell all you could produce:thumbs but like you say it needs to be to a standard but you could sell on the milk to a producer of goats cheese? cutting the profit though.
Sheep cheese is selling well too do you milk your sheep?
Cut flowers is another thing ........sorry to bore you:)

cut flowers sound interesting, but i have the touch of death to all plants, but i an try :thumb2 they also sound harder for people to steal :augie
What varieties are selling, I have often fancied growing lavender, but I'm not sure of it's viability and it's a long term thing and i haven't much stick-at-it-ness.
Night night all:)
Its good to see you all and catch up have a laugh and debate all things you do in a good club:thumbs
take care x

Set a bed apart muck it well and make sure its well drained and sheltered
then plant perenials....carnations daliahs lillies comos (daisys) all the spring bulbs they just keep on self producing so once you have put them in all you have to do is weed and cut and sell......loads more if your really interested ...
Herbs are easy and sell well... lavender always sells.. loads of differend ones
Do you have a green houses to start from seed cuttings?
Ok now i am getting boring
You all take care
Nice to pop in again
Night night:)
