No, posts should not be censored.
The members should not post offensive things and if they do the post should be moderated.
A very different thing to censorship, but relies on good moderators.

Agreed, we do not need censorship, freedom of speech and expression, is the norm in this country and I will fight for it to stay that way, Rick
totally agree rick , except when it descends into personal name calling /personal abuse or extremely offensive remarks on a personal level
censorship is not needed on here, if you don't like the sound of the post ,dont open it, it's that easy :nenau:thumb2

but i dont think it has, as yet and probably wont, we are not making personnel remarks about / to individuals, i cant see any problem, im sure bat21 would soon nip it in the bud if it got out of hand. :thumbs

There are only two elements to this argument as far as I am concerned:
1. This is effectively a chat room on a pay-to-view web site on the bloody internet so IMHO the only 'out of order' stuff is personal abuse (which would have to be serious as opposed to just name-calling), physical threats or something unacceptably illegal. Other than that, freedom of speech should be the order of the day - and as people have said, I've yet to see anything get out of hand.
2. BUT and its a big BUT, whether its for the sake of Bats server revenue, or our personal/joint reputations (I use my moniker on other forums), we should ensure that we act and speak like proper grown-ups. Just try googling your username and see what pops up......

No censoring. This is a forum populated by some decent fair minded people and generally decency shines through.
The only caveat is if in the mods opinion a post is unlawful it should go because vbulletin may start getting twitchy (is that the provider??) otherwis let it run.
Try this one as well as google, it goes deeper on names only :augie
