thats gonna be some awning on a 650trailer putting up n down
we choose a giant porch type for the spectrum, its 4metres long from outdoor revolution though rarely put it up as so much room in van cba!
unfortnaly the previous owner removed the middle seating area which made a bed we could do with but mrs likes the sink unit thing they replaced it with! me her three kids leaves need for more beds lol.
i am hoping to leave it on site awning up all season they have two or three bigger hobbys on there all set up awning plus anexes bloody huge lol!

We went a couple of weeks back "just to have a look" and came away with an awning bargain from their excess stock :D:thumb2

sounds interesting, mind is that it had regular hobby mini kitchen and wanted more
or was a 'dry' van so no sink unit to start with.
always suprised how small the kitchens are in such big vans that are aimed at more
than just a week or twos holiday!

what amazes me about staffies is how much they have changed over the years, when i were a lad, in Tipton (which was in Staffordshire) they were still bred to fight. I had one as a pet (I've owned several over the years) and the differences in shape size and build are remarkable. As goes for temperament, they seem very rounded and laid back now compared to fighting sock of the past :thumb2
I'll have to see if i can dig out a few old photos :thumb2

In my experience theyve always been laid back, fit in well with my theory (appplied to my rottie x too) that theyre tough dogs but enjoy life so theres no need to throw their weight around ...............unless invited :D:D
Owned at lest one most of my life. First one was a stout white lump who was about 4 months older than me, kept his eye on me from the day I arrived :lol:lol:lol He was from the Rellim line which were ex fighters going back years (I detest dog fighting), he was so chilled it was unbelivable.
The one thing I have noticed is the changes in "acceptable" size. They used to be much taller and proportionally as stocky but sort of seemed to became titchy during the 80s.
I had a red during the 80s who was what I would have desc as standard old fashioned size but he was head and shoulders above the going rate :nenau
Makes no odds to me at the end of the day though I dont show or breed em, just want a good well behaved dawg :thumbs
Just on the subject of not throwing their weight around hows this for a stupid owner.
Woman on beach walking 5 dogs who were behaving as a frenzied pack. One of them, a husky goes up behind my staffie, jumps on him from behind and nips his neck. Woman runs up saying, "oh dont worry thats how he plays" ******* idiot, thats how dogs attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
what she didnt see was him turn, snap his jaws which sounded like a loud handclap and fortunately only get a mouthful of husky neck hair.
Husky legged it, he went off with his kong on a rope no need for follow up :lol:lol
Question is, was I right balling her out and explaining about dogs under control public place when she said her dog hadnt done anything wrong :augie

lmao. the giveaway that made me ask is theyre all looking different directions with a "come on boss wtf you doing look" :lol
i like a nice stocky with short muzzle staff proper little power houses but soft as shite,it does upset me when people pull away from them saying pitbulls are dangerous err no shes a staff and well used to kids pulling her about lol.
we had a husky bite one of ours again ran up laid into her while she was trying to drag tree outve sea,but it was the staffs fault a couple nearby cheered me up by saying how well shed reacted and that itd just savaged there border terrier thatd given it what for lol!

jace good looking trailer got there, would have a hobby one day,
probably a 750 just see see jaws drop pulling onto a caravan
club site....
hey got nearly as many caravans on my wish list as trucks, well
only fair each truck has something to pull eh.
wonder if when a uk builder will start doing full width 'vans and
if these wider hobbys are more legal subject to length if insurers
will relax and cover them more.
i read on here i think there now legal to tow? its an 03 van apparently and i gave £2.5k it has been abused a bit but with kids and dogs its not worth getting a nice van me an mrs will do that when theyve all pissed off lol!

yeah since april 2010 width gone from 230 to 250/255 max for a vehicle under
3500kg gvw, length remain 7 metres for body, so excluding a frame.
plank is always saying how much more room that 6 inches! gives you, mind his
buccaneer doesnt have a loo compartment to rob space either, and the typical
white interior finish and plenty of mirrors all help that way.
when trucks on form it tows it like theres nothing on back lol 80mph was there without realising you have to watch the spped lol!

Some idiot owners around.
I lmao when people give him a wide berth or pull the kids away simply because he's a staffy.
Feel like makng a little handout to give them explaining the only scar I carry from a dog gone bad was from a collie. The most savage bad tempered dog we ever had was a yorkie. :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol
ie the ones everyone let their kids over to fuss without asking :doh:doh:doh
if a dogs treated right 99% time itll be good as gold! always the 1% though,i refuse to sell dogs to a certain types that have turned up its wrong but stereotypyes do stick lol

Ive never had more than one at a time (relatives visited/stayed with theirs only) so Ive no experience of long term more than one but i do remember reading advice in older books about leaving them unattended together as none of them would back down during boisterous play and there were no grown ups to referee :nenau
Like i say, no personal experience of it but im personally quite sure theyd be ok :D

good description :thumb2
ours demonstrates every act between total stupidity and quite amazing logic/brain power.
One old story I remember reading in a book was a staffi vs police alsation. Police dog did the grab the arm take down on a runner. Staffi had two goes and failed.
Laughing cop asked handler if the staffy wanted one more go. Why not :nenau
Third final and effective go......................bit of lateral thinking, the dog went for the ankle causing quite a bit of damage but stopped the runner :naughty:naughty

Mate as one on the camp site we are on, like you say I was one of those who give staffi's a wide birth, now knowing the way they are I now believe it's the ownners that 99% of the time are the dangerous ones.

quite a few years ago (about 1990) we had a staffie (Bess) she was as daft as they come, would wag her tail until she fell over, wet her self with excitement ant the sight of a letter coming through the door, ran from the neighbors cat.
my mom was going to use the pay phone on the sea front in Paignton, (before mobiles) she was chatting away with daft Bess by her feet and her hand bag on the directory shelf.
3 lads came along wrenched the door open and tried to steal her bag, the dog went wild and attacked them quite savagely and they all ran for their lives :thumb2
not as daft as she looked :augie
our two old "wag yer tail if yer daft, thick, stoopid etc etc lol) had a burgluar as he tried to vault our fence lol
