Hi all, only found the site this afternoon and have had a little look around, looks great.

At the beginning of the year i bought a 1999 Terrano 2.7TDi in black.

I have to say it is a great motor, goes well and is well equipped too with tinted windows and leather seats.

I have had a few small issues with it, but i like to get my hands dirty so i don't mind fixing it if i can.

So far i have serviced it, re-indexed the front suspension, taken off the crappy running boards, adjusted the front wheel bearings and a few other bits.

The one thing i have to do yet is replace the front exhaust pipe, it appears to be leaking from the flexi section, i have bought a new pipe at around £40 but i have quick go at it the other day and the 3 nuts that secure it to the manifold end are a little tight and i am afraid i may snap them if i try too hard, they probably need some heat...but i dont have oxy accetaline to hand...

Hi and welcome to the site, I know that you can get better access to the exhaust by removing the nearside wheel and inner rubber splash guard, this also allows better access to get to the oil filter.

There are several threads on here regarding the removal of the front section.
best regards, Rustic

Hi guys, thanks for the welcome.

I did remove the rubber section under the wing to get to the oil filter and it does make access to two of the nuts a little easier, i am just a little scared of snapping them....

I am tempted to take the exhaust to my local garage and getting a price..

welcome to the club ste68blue, have you access to a blow lamp? might be enough to loosen the nuts. :thumb2:naughty
