Snow in winter time shocker!

Will London come to a standstill again? lol

I love it, it's great to ride in (offroad) and the car copes magnificently - it's funny overtaking X5s and the like mincing along at 2mph - ha ha, get a proper 4x4.

I agree, that's why it's best to keep off the "captive" motorways, and head for the A roads where you can do "U" turns and head for the lanes.

I carry salt, a spade, ropes, battery booster cables, have I ever used these for my vehicle? NO ! not directly, but to get other "Stupid ***** " out of the way so I can get past. What do they carry.... a mobile phone usually with no credit or a flat battery.....:nenau

Rear wheel drive only vehicles should be kept off the road between the start of November and the end of March. Better still from the start of January until the end of December...:lol:lol

The worst offenders are the ones who have 4 wheel drive poser-mobiles and try out the out side lane on the motorway, only to block that because of their near slick, low profile, go nowhere, no terrain tyres on 18/19" alloys.

AGGGHHHHHH..................:eek::eek:

I love it when your on the dual carriageway and as often as not whilst lane 1 is doing 25mph its more than ok to head out into lane 2 and hit a higher speed even through the snow or slush. You nearly always get an X5 type pratt mobile pulling out behind you.......................then dropping rapidly back :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol

ours has been and gone, two hours of traffic brought to a near standstill, minor collisions and frayed tempers and then back to cold grey and drizzel :(

at least a good covering of snow brightens the place up a bit :thumb2

Here it started at 6:45 this morning and snowed for 4 hours, and resulted in 3" , 75mm of snow, and it is mostly still there.

Lorries and buses blocked roads with even a slight slope on them.
A 10 minute journey took 40.

I had that happen to me once, i pulled out, made my own lane in the snow, Mr X5 joined me and almost crapped him self as he started to go sideways. then his indicator came on to get back in to the "Q".

Why the hell do you put 255/40/18 on ANYTHING! oh yes i forgot, to look COOL.:cool:
