View Full Version : sending my tyres back.
i dont know if anyone on here has experienced the same problem but i bought 4 tyres on tinternet and they arrived a few days ago, looked great so off down to my mate this afternoon who is the manager at a well known tyre shop (starts with A and ends with S and the middle letters T  ),fits first one and could not get it to balance no matter what he did, second one was fine, third and fourth same as first so three out of the four would not balance, quick ring to supplier and they say send them back and they will arrange a courier. my mate could not match the price but rang around and i got 4 kingpin a/t trackers for £46 per wheel fitted from HI-Q,get them on on saturday morning so hope there will be no problems again.
thanks,
paul.

Sorry to hear about your probs devs :( I know this can happen alot with remolds. IIRR my Falken AT's were £66 each & in the year & 1/2 i've had them they stood up well to my hard driving & wearing better than I thought they would. TBH i'd prob get them again as they have been fine uptil now for what i've wanted them to do  but when the time comes I may have a look at Grabber AT2's or poss Cooper ST's

what make and model were the tyres you had trouble with?
I had a similar problem with my Colways, however we got as near as damn it! and there are fine on the road.
Its a very common problem on remoulds and the heavier the tread the harder to balance.

grizzly claws.

i think with a tread that biased to off road use they probably dont worry too much about accurate balancing
