Is it 4x4 ?
Is it 4x4 ?
er good point , i just assumed it was ...... over 25 mpg . impressed huh ? :augie:lol
what a truck, pity it's so far away, i bet it sounds the dogs danglies,:naughty
it's possible it could do around 25mpg, depending how it's driven though, :thumb2
The sodding buses I drive have smaller engines..
Is it 4x4 ?
It must be if it can pull a house down. Did you see the mileage 200k
7.3lt wouldn't work very hard would it ???.

Would have thought 0 to 60 in about..
2 Gallon's :D:D
Normally the States produce big Gas guzzlers for the US, and export smaller diesels to the UK :nenau.
If this is the case, what must be the size of the gas (petrol) engine sold in the US? :doh
You couldn't park it at Tesco's, spaces are too small.

Quick google says that engine has 250hp. How do they get so much power out of these little engines?

nice, mpg is feasible with light right foot, as so much power on tickover.
7.3 equates to around 450 cubic inch, or big block, for ref a chevy 350
or 5.7 litre is small block. cross over is somewhere around 6.4 litres as
i recall.
make good fifth wheel tug, though prefer twin rear wheels for that work
the extra wheel goes on outside of existing rear wheel with another 6-8
inches of metal work flare covering it!
would say 2wd looking at stance, i would prefer dodge ram in this group
with its cummins 5.9 - 6.3 straight 6 24 valve td drool.
Is it 4x4 ?
No, there rear wheel drive & fast as fook
Especially the lighting 2 door models
I was looking at getting 1 a few years back after i saw 1 hit 470bhp on the rollers
They can do about 20mpg driving on idle but normally average 10mpg which was the end result in me not getting 1

100% with you on the dodge ram :thumb2:thumb2:thumb2
We're off viewing houses today, if we end up with another house (all part of the retirement master plan) i dont think we'll be following the fifth wheeler plan for a few years yet if ever, still very tempted
Mind you first trip out if i got one would be down to see makeitift , i know he loves caravans of all types :D
Imagine going to an attendant served petrol/diesel station,
" He mate, can you turn the engine off, I can't keep up with you "
Now if it was 4x4... great for the rescue services. Coast guard etc

with you there Dave let me know, looks like we got our selves a convoy.
ref emergency services our local fire station which has been on some of
the fly on the wall type docus at a ford transit county 4x4, mk2 i think
with twin rear wheels for many years, then they got a gmc c3500 equiv
of ford in subject, but not crew cab, twin rear wheels, 4x4 and custom
rear body for rescue equipment. these days they have a regular truck
tender as second vehicle, nice but not as yanky!

Over 25 mpg yer right!
You'd actually be suprised, I know a bloke with a newer one of these and his is 4x4. He does get over 25mpg out of it, when on the motorway with the cruise control set to 60... the engine only has to idle. The idea with the massive yank TDs is they are just all low down torque so you never work the engine. Make fantastic tow buses, that will embarrass a Land-rover's or transit's mpg when towing 3.5 tons...
