View Full Version : Gravel
so when i built my rather crappy driveway, I used WAY too much gravel. The big stuff, 20mm stuff i think. I plan to dig up probably about a ton (i used 2 ton), and bag up..

I will take some, can you send it Email, Ive heard this Email thing is clever, :augie:augie but on a more serious note since entering the 8888 and 8884 thingies I have had very little trouble getting on to the site, so well done mate, I owe you one, only thing is now it seems to slow down after a few hours, and to get back up to speed I have to shut the whole thing down and start up again but I think that may be something to do with ParetoLogic antivirus plus that I have I seem to have been free of virus but it keeps chucking up boxes about download new database etc which if I don't cancel it in time takes forever, anyway thanks again, one problem solved, Rick

It will also slow things down bigtime if its running a scheduled virus scan, so good idea to disable that function and run it manually once a week or so....

agreed, the anti virus is probably to blame, as a IT person, id remove it, and see how it runs without, for the same period of time (one evening) but be careful about where i surfed. if all good, install a different AV such as AVG, Avira (which is what i use) etc
anyhoo....gravel.
i have always use a program called avast it is free and i would say alot less resourse hungery comapaird to avg and it has small virus updates every day also it is constantly scanning everything and i have never found a reduced performance when it is on
